VPNNT Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers by topic, from subscription updates to connection troubleshooting. Check your account first, then narrow down whether the issue is your local network, route, or app.

Accounts & Subscriptions

Save your login details, get the client, connect your devices, and update your subscription.

Do I need an email address to create an account? How should I store my account details?

No email address is required. Create an account with a username and password. Once your account is set up, save your login details in a password manager and make sure you can access the user dashboard again before choosing a plan. Never post your password and subscription link together in a public forum; treat the subscription link as account credentials, too. Since account creation does not require an email address, do not assume you can reset your password by email. If you cannot log in, check your username, keyboard settings, and password capitalization first. Then visit the contact page to find available support options. Never include your full credentials in a public comment.

Do I need to choose a new plan when I switch devices? Which platforms are supported?

VPNNT supports Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Linux. You can use the same subscription on any number of devices. Switching devices alone does not require a new plan. Sign in to your existing account, check your subscription status, then follow the user dashboard steps to download a client and import your subscription. Permissions and menu names vary by platform, so follow the instructions in your client. Device support is separate from account entitlements in third-party apps: connecting on a new device does not change your access to streaming services or AI tools.

Where can I get the client and subscription? Why isn’t there a direct download link on this page?

Get your client and subscription from the user dashboard. Sign in to view your subscription details, open the client downloads section, select your platform, then follow the dashboard instructions to download the client and import your subscription. Download access depends on the plan status shown in the dashboard. Our public pages link to the dashboard but do not host direct installer downloads or public subscription URLs. If a link is temporarily unavailable, check your plan status in the account overview and make sure you are signed in to the right account. For setup, follow the guide. Do not download installers from unverified forwarded messages or import someone else’s subscription.

How do I update my subscription link? Why do I still see old routes afterward?

Sign in to the user dashboard and make sure your subscription is active. In your client, open subscription or profile management and update the subscription you are using. Check for a success message, then make sure the newly updated profile is selected rather than another profile saved earlier. If you still see old routes, disconnect, reload that profile, and check the route list again. Replace the subscription link only if the dashboard shows a new address. When reporting the issue, include the update result and client name, but hide any credentials in the subscription URL. Never share the full link publicly.

Connections & Troubleshooting

Separate local network, client configuration, and app issues, then note the details support can verify.

A website won’t open after I connect. What should I check, and in what order?

Disconnect the client first and check whether your local network can still reach sites that normally work. If your basic connection is down, restore it before troubleshooting the client. Next, check your subscription status and remaining data in the dashboard, update your subscription, and select a route again. Make sure your system has granted the client the network permissions it needs. Close other apps that may change proxy settings to prevent routing conflicts. If one route fails, try another in the same region, then test a different region to narrow down the issue. Note the error message, time, and steps you have tried; this is more useful than repeatedly reinstalling the client.

Why can I browse the web, but a specific app still won’t use the proxy?

Being able to browse in one app does not mean every app uses the same proxy route. Some apps ignore the system proxy, match a direct-connection rule in the client, or use a different networking component than your browser. Check the client’s current mode and which rules are being matched, then confirm whether the target app’s requests are reaching the client. If the client offers system-wide network handling or per-app proxy settings, check the required permissions and supported apps in its instructions. After making changes, quit and reopen the target app, then test again. Avoid leaving all your rules changed just for troubleshooting; restore your usual settings once you identify the cause.

Why does a streaming service or AI tool still say my region isn’t supported when I’m connected?

A connected status only confirms that the connection process completed; it does not guarantee that the service accepts your current exit region. Check that your selected route is in a region supported by the service, confirm that the app is actually using the proxy, and try again after restarting it. Your account region, payment region, subscription entitlements, and an app’s saved session can all affect the result. Compare the app with a browser to see whether the issue is limited to one client. Don’t assume every error after switching regions is a route failure. Save the service’s exact message to help distinguish a network issue from an account requirement.

What information should I include in a connection troubleshooting ticket?

Sign in to the user dashboard and open the ticket section. Include your operating system, client name, selected region and route type, when the issue occurred, the target app, and the exact error message. Note whether your local network is working, whether other routes work, and whether updating the subscription or restarting the app changed anything. Screenshots should show relevant error details, but hide unnecessary account information, subscription links, and payment credentials. Do not paste your full subscription URL or password into a ticket. List the steps you have tried in order to avoid repeating them with support.

Speed & Routes

Check region requirements first, then compare routes under the same conditions. Route labels can’t replace real-world testing.

Video buffers during peak hours. How can I tell whether it’s the route or my local network?

Pause large downloads on other devices and check your Wi-Fi signal and basic connection. Then compare routes using the same app, content, and video quality. Change only the route so you can tell what made a difference; changing the region, player, and quality at the same time makes results hard to compare. If several routes buffer and local browsing is also noticeably slower, check your local network first. If only certain routes have issues, try other routes in the same region. Peak-time performance depends on your local carrier, cross-border routing, and the service itself. A route type alone cannot guarantee consistently smooth playback.

How should I choose between IEPL, transit, and direct routes?

These labels describe how a route connects and how traffic is carried; they do not guarantee that a particular app will work. IEPL routes can be one option to compare for cross-border use, while transit and direct routes should also be tested on your local network. First choose a region supported by the service, then compare how reliably pages load and whether playback buffers in the same usage scenario. A label alone cannot tell you which route will be faster. Avoid comparing results from different times. The best route for everyday use is the one that works well with your network and the apps you use.

With so many regions available, should I always choose the closest one?

VPNNT offers routes in 90+ countries, with 180+ routes. Choose a region based on the service’s supported locations, not just geographic distance. A nearby region can be a useful starting point for general browsing, but your local carrier’s routing, route type, and server location all affect performance. If a platform requires a specific region, compare the available routes there. For regular websites, start with a region you use often. The current route list in the dashboard shows your options; broad coverage does not mean every region supports every platform’s content, payment methods, or account requirements.

How do route requirements differ for HD streaming and AI tools?

For HD streaming, check whether playback stays steady, picture quality drops frequently, or seeking causes repeated buffering. For AI tools, pay closer attention to whether you can sign in, submit prompts, and receive longer responses without interruption. Both depend on the platform’s supported regions, but the way you assess them differs. A page loading successfully does not mean every feature is working. When testing streaming, keep the content and quality the same; for AI tools, note exactly which step fails. Check the platform’s rules separately for account subscriptions, content entitlements, and service restrictions. A network connection does not replace those requirements.

Billing & Refunds

Review monthly plans, data packs, and plan changes. Handle order questions through the user dashboard.

What do the monthly plans cost, and how do I choose a data allowance?

Monthly plans are ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. All plans support unlimited devices and include a 14-day no-questions-asked refund. Choose based on how you use the service and your actual usage in the dashboard: continuous video streaming, file transfers, and multiple devices can all affect data consumption. Connection time alone is not a reliable estimate, since apps use very different amounts of data. Check your usual usage first, then compare it with the plan allowances. See the plans page and user dashboard for full details. A working connection does not mean your account’s data allowance can be ignored.

What’s the difference between a data pack and a monthly plan? Do data packs expire?

Data packs cost ¥158 for 300GB, ¥358 for 1000GB, or ¥658 for 3000GB. They last until the data is used and never expire. Monthly plan data resets each month on your activation date. The difference is how you use the data; a pack’s lack of an expiration date does not mean you can keep using it after the data runs out. Choose based on whether you use the service regularly and prefer to manage your usage monthly. Before changing plans, check how your current status and any available changes are shown in the user dashboard. Do not assume that different plans automatically stack or that data is deducted in a particular order.

When does monthly data reset? How is a mid-cycle upgrade calculated?

Monthly plan data resets each month on your activation date, not necessarily on the first day of the calendar month. Check your current subscription details in the user dashboard to confirm the next reset date rather than estimating from the calendar. For a mid-cycle upgrade, the price difference is prorated over the remaining days. Review the change shown in the dashboard before proceeding. An upgrade does not necessarily restart the full subscription period. Do not assume how existing data, plan status, or data packs will be combined. If the dashboard shows something different from what you expected, save the relevant message and confirm it through a ticket before making the change.

Which payment methods are supported? What if my plan doesn’t appear after payment?

We accept Alipay, WeChat Pay, and USDT. Check the user dashboard for payment instructions and order status. After paying, return to the original order to verify the result, then check your plan status in the account overview. Make sure you are signed in to the account used to place the order. If payment is marked complete but the dashboard has not updated, do not pay again just to refresh the status. Submit a ticket with the order ID, payment method, time, and a screenshot of the result if needed. Hide unrelated personal and payment details, and keep the original order record so support can verify the payment and plan status.

How do I request a 14-day no-questions-asked refund? What information do I need to provide?

VPNNT offers a 14-day no-questions-asked refund. See the Terms of Service for details. To request a refund, sign in to the user dashboard, open the ticket section, clearly state that you are requesting a refund, and include the relevant order ID so we can verify your account and payment. You do not need to complete troubleshooting before requesting a refund. If you also want to report a service issue, include the platform and what happened, but do not send your password or full subscription link. Follow up in the original ticket to check replies and progress rather than opening multiple tickets. Processing and arrival times depend on the outcome and payment provider; we cannot estimate them without confirmation.
